Nutrition Program Manager

About the role

This position manages the nutrition program for senior adults, overseeing Meals on Wheels and Congregate Meals programs. The Nutrition Program Manager also recruits volunteers for the Meals on Wheels program and promotes senior services within the community.

Responsibilities

• Develops and monitors grant proposals to support the nutrition program.
• Supervises and directs the Meals on Wheels and Congregate Meals programs.
• Recruits volunteers to facilitate the Meals on Wheels program.
• Promotes senior services throughout the community.
• Implements and coordinates procedures to ensure all meals meet state, federal, and local nutrition guidelines.
• Reports to the Senior Center Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field.
• One (1) year previous experience and/or training involving senior or nutrition program administration.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid Georgia Class C driver’s license.
• Ability to complete training to supervise minimum-security inmates.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field.
• One (1) year of relevant experience and/or training.
• Preferred qualifications include supervisory experience.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of nutrition guidelines and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

$46,904 per year

Schedule

8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Occasional evening and weekend hours.
