Nutrition Care Associate
Performs a variety of food and guest service duties under general supervision. This position includes roles that may vary by facility need, such as patient meal tray assembly and delivery, cashier, food assembly, food serving, and cleaning.
Responsibilities
- Delivers and presents trays to patients using the standard process.
- Prepares salads, sandwiches, vegetables, and fruit according to system‑standard recipes and ingredient assemblies.
- Follows standardized Nutrition Services practices, including dining experience, meal delivery, and maintaining required stock levels.
- Performs housekeeping functions, including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, floor care, and equipment (oven, fryer, hoods).
- Handles cash and credit transactions accurately and resolves basic customer service issues independently.
Qualifications
- Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by the first day of work (required only in Utah and Idaho).
- Demonstrated ability to work with modified diets (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service (preferred).

Physical Requirements
Must be able to see and read information, labels, and monitors; interact frequently with customers; use manual dexterity to operate complex equipment; lift and move items of varying weights (including heavy items); stand for long periods; work on hands and knees; bend, pull, and push equipment; tolerate temperature extremes (grill or refrigerator) and exposure to cleaning chemicals.
Pay
Hourly range: $17.68 – $22.99, dependent upon experience.
Schedule
Part‑time, 24 hours per week. Mid‑day/evening shifts: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM, or 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM. Weekends and assigned holidays are required.
