About the role
Process diet orders and receive orders via communication with patients or health care professionals. Verify that orders comply with diet prescription. Identify needs such as therapeutic, cultural preferences, and food allergies and note those needs with special tray ticket indicator. Conduct patient care rounds to obtain patient meal preferences. Patient assistance is given for menu preparation. Calculate and complete production sheets for Hot and Cold food items and special items. Maintain records for manager.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Work requires a high school level of educational development and no previous related experience plus three to six months of on the job training and orientation.
- Requires the analytical ability to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific knowledge, mathematical, or technical principles.
- Understands automated diet office system data entry and internal adjustment.
- Understands information (data) from Hospital ADT system (SMS- Invision).
- Requires computer skills.

Pay
Salary range provided to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.
