Nutrition and Health Education Specialist

Job Summary

Provide clinical education and training to physicians, students, nurses, and other healthcare professionals and organizations. Select or create materials and appropriate delivery methods for programs. Serve as liaison between the organization and customers.

Responsibilities

• Provides individualized nutrition assessment, counseling, and education, for management of health conditions to University of Utah Employees and students, and community members.
• Delivers and may support development of lifestyle change programming.
• Provides mentorship, education, and guidance to NUIP graduate students that are completing assistantships, capstones and internships.

Qualifications

• EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
• Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience.
• Registered Dietitian in the State of Utah
