NURSING UNIT MANAGER - PERIANESTHESIA UNIT

About the Role

Responsible and accountable for coordinating and supervising the peri-anesthesia care provided to patients having operative or other invasive procedures. Provides support and leadership in making progress toward achievement of strategic goals. Manages the peri-anesthesia areas both operationally and fiscally.

Follows standards of behavior for leadership and clearly conveys information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message. Uses appropriate methods and a flexible interpersonal style to help build a cohesive team and facilitate the completion of team goals.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited Nursing school
• Current Management position or 2 years Peri-anesthesia/Perioperative experience
• Alabama Board of Nursing License
• BLS obtained within 90 days of hire/transfer or prior to taking call
• ACLS obtained within 90 days of hire/transfer or prior to taking call
• PALS obtained within 90 days of hire/transfer or prior to taking call
• NIHSS within 90 days of hire/transfer (EAH to assist with certification completion)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, business, or other related field
• 3-5 years Perianesthesia/Perioperative experience
• 2 years management or other specialty team leader position
• Advanced computer skills
• CPAN/CAPA Certification
