Responsibilities

• Teach nursing fundamentals, health assessment, pharmacology, pathophysiology, medical-surgical nursing, pediatric nursing, maternal-newborn nursing, psychiatric nursing, and community health nursing.
• Explain the nursing process, evidence-based practice, clinical reasoning, and patient safety principles to prepare students for clinical rotations, NCLEX exams, and professional practice.
• Guide students in clinical reasoning, patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, lab value interpretation, and prioritizing patient care needs.
• Emphasize critical thinking in clinical contexts and connect nursing theory to bedside practice and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Adapt instruction using clinical case studies, medication calculation practice, and NCLEX-style questions to support students from fundamentals to advanced topics.
• Identify and address concepts students commonly struggle with using multiple teaching approaches tailored to individual learning styles.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of nursing curricula for ADN and BSN programs, including pharmacology calculations, clinical reasoning, and NCLEX preparation.
• Ability to teach using clinical case studies, medication calculation practice, and NCLEX-style questions.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
