Responsibilities

• Teach nursing fundamentals, health assessment, pharmacology, pathophysiology, medical-surgical nursing, pediatric nursing, maternal-newborn nursing, psychiatric nursing, and community health nursing.
• Explain the nursing process, evidence-based practice, clinical reasoning, and patient safety principles to prepare students for clinical rotations, NCLEX examination, and professional practice.
• Guide students in clinical reasoning, patient assessment techniques, and care planning across nursing specialties.
• Help students perform systematic health assessments, administer medications safely, develop nursing care plans, interpret laboratory values, and prioritize patient care needs.
• Emphasize critical thinking in clinical contexts and connect nursing theory to bedside practice, patient safety, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Adapt instruction using clinical case studies, medication calculation practice, and NCLEX-style questions to support students from fundamentals through advanced medical-surgical nursing and NCLEX readiness.
• Identify concepts students commonly struggle with and explain material using multiple approaches tailored to individual learning needs.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of nursing curricula for ADN and BSN programs, including pharmacology calculations, clinical reasoning development, and NCLEX preparation.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
