Nursing Technician Float ARMC

Essential Job Functions

• Supports patients with daily living tasks, including meals, personal care, and progressive mobility.
• Affirms patients' quality of life related to nutrition, hydration, and elimination.
• Admits, transfers, and discharges patients according to the plan of care.
• Assists with clinical procedures such as monitoring blood glucose, recording vital signs, obtaining EKG's, applying restraints, and attending to elimination needs.
• Maintains unit inventories of supplies and medical equipment to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Checks fall-risk patients for appropriate arm bands, socks, and signage.
• Documents all clinical procedures, patient interactions, and medication use.
• Responds promptly to delegation from registered nurse staff and shares patient observations.

Education & Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• No prior experience required.

Licensure, Certification, or Listing Requirements

• Certified by the State of North Carolina DHHR.
• Nurse Aide Certification required.
• BLS (CPR) - American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider certification required.
