Nursing Support Assistant - Part Time, Night Shift

About the Role

The Nursing Support Assistant (CNA) provides supportive patient care under RN supervision, performing tasks such as vital signs, basic tests, and assisting with activities of daily living. They support unit operations by maintaining patient environments, documenting activities, and assisting with discharge or transfer procedures. The role requires effective communication, physical effort, and adherence to infection control techniques.

Responsibilities

• Providing basic patient care, including hygiene, ambulation, and nutrition
• Collecting specimens and assisting with procedures
• Supporting environmental maintenance and equipment management
• Documenting activities accurately and initiating emergency responses like CPR
• Performing receptionist duties as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CNA certification or passing nursing student exam listed on HCWR
• CPR/BLS certification
• Strong communication skills and ability to perform physically demanding tasks
• Effective reading, writing, and basic math skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
