Nursing Supervisor PRN Days

Kindred Hospital Indianapolis North is a 45-bed long-term acute care hospital offering comprehensive care for extended recovery periods. We collaborate with your physician and provide 24-hour clinical care seven days a week to support your wellness journey. Located within American National University community.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hospital staff to ensure quality care and compliance with policies and regulations.
• Provide professional guidance, manage disciplinary issues, prepare administrative reports, review staffing and budgetary needs, and integrate Nursing Services with other hospital departments.
• Participate in program development and training for nurse recruitment activities and assist with continuing education programs.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate designated nursing staff; assign duties and coordinate nursing services.
• Develop and implement nursing protocols and procedures.
• Offer continuing education and staff development opportunities for nursing staff.
• Assess patient needs; provide nursing care; ensure services are carried out and documented appropriately.
• Maintain patient health care records.
• Maintain supply inventory records; order supplies and equipment as necessary.
• Promote adherence to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and the Corporate Compliance Agreement by monitoring employee performance and identifying and responding to compliance issues.

Requirements

• Appropriate degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Additional state requirements as applicable.
• Valid Registered Nurse / RN license in the state.
• BCLS and ACLS certification.
• Two years of Registered Nurse / RN nursing experience in a hospital.
• One to two years supervisory/leadership experience.
