Responsibilities

• Rounds and assesses patient care units to evaluate patient conditions, identify staffing needs, and provide support to caregivers.
• Advises and directs nursing personnel, responds to Code Blue situations, and manages clinical emergencies.
• Acts as liaison for patient movement and bed assignments, promoting cost-effective management of staffing, equipment, and supplies.
• Represents nursing administration during off shifts, authorizes consent or treatment during admissions, and serves as incident commander for disasters.
• Provides direction and collaborates with hospital leadership during significant events, including organizational codes and system downtimes.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Broad knowledge of the healthcare environment [Required]
• Effective communication skills and relationship building skills [Required]
• Leadership, critical thinking and clinical practice knowledge [Required]
• Effectiveness and efficiency in meeting administrative responsibilities, fiscal responsibility and professionalism [Required]

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
• Master's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 2+ years leadership experience as an assistant nurse manager and/or nurse manager or equivalent (i.e. charge nurse, chair nursing practice council, cn3, cn4) [Preferred]
• 2+ years staff nurse experience [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Additional licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the specific unit or state in which this position is located. Pay

Pay Range $34.32 - $63.84

Shift: PRN Days. Schedule: 4 shifts every 6 weeks. 12-hour shifts.
