About the role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Nursing Scheduler to join our team at Plymouth Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, a 162-bed skilled nursing facility. We offer a competitive salary up to $25 an hour with weekly pay, and an 8a-4p schedule.
Responsibilities
- Organize, prioritize, and coordinate all nursing staff schedules
- Develop and utilize a master schedule at all times
- Post staffing schedules 2-4 weeks in advance, minimum
- Identify staffing problems, take initiative to resolve, and communicate with DNS and/or Administrator
- Update and prepare payroll in ADP for Corporate Bookkeeper on a daily/weekly basis
- Maintain daily staffing sheets and DPH required staff sheet
- S Seek opportunities to fill open positions in a manner which limits overtime
- Develop positive relationships with members of the nursing department
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum one (1) year experience in clerical
- On-the-job training provided in scheduling
- Preferably a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), but not required
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, basic computer skills, and mathematical ability
- Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices
