About the role
The Nursing Quality Specialist I provides support to the nursing division for performance improvement activities to enhance quality and safety outcomes, regulatory oversight, compliance monitoring with standards of care, and facilitates positive inter-professional collaboration with various disciplines. This position is based in the Inpatient Rehab Facility (IRF).
Requirements
- Two (2) years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Florida Registered Nurse (FL RN) license
Preferred qualifications
- Current knowledge of hospital accreditation (The Joint Commission/TJC) and regulatory issues (CMS, AHCA)
- Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft application software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiences
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
