Responsibilities

• Set up and administer resident medications as ordered by physicians and per professional standards of medication administration; may supervise CNAs as directed
• Provide patients' personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths
• Assist with activities of daily living by serving meals, feeding patients as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals
• Maintain patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine; recording intake and output information

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid and current certification in the State of Florida as a Medication Technician
