About the Role
The Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Specialist enhances nursing staff's professional growth through educational programs, training, and continuous learning.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with leadership to assess educational needs, develop curricula, and implement strategies to improve practice and patient outcomes.
- Supports lifelong learning and influences inter-professional practice.
- Promotes evidence-based practice and drives process improvements through project management.
- Facilitates nurse transitions across roles and environments.
- Supports research, quality improvement, and organizational change to advance nursing practice and patient care.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years nursing experience.
- RN licensure.
- BLS certification.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Inpatient Pediatric Behavioral Health experience.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Master's degree in nursing or related field.
- Preferred: Nurse Education track of MSN.
- Preferred: Professional nursing certification.
- Preferred: Project management experience.
