About the Role
The Nursing Professional Development Generalist (NPDG) supports staff learning, promotes clinical competence, and enhances patient safety. This role focuses on leadership in professional development, clinical practice support, and fostering a positive, safe practice environment to improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assess practice needs through data analysis.
- Design and implement evidence-based education plans.
- Lead onboarding and ongoing competency programs.
- Facilitate interprofessional education.
- Serve as a clinical resource for staff.
- Ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Coordinate certification courses such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
- Maintain accurate documentation of educational activities.
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing or related field.
- Active registered nurse (RN) licensure.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience.
Qualifications & Skills
- Preferred certifications: specialty and Nursing Professional Development (NPD) credentials.
- Strong skills in educational design, data analysis, communication, and project management.
- Teaching experience is advantageous.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
