Responsibilities
- Set up and administer resident medications as ordered by physicians and per professional standards of medication administration.
- Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) as directed.
- Provide personal hygiene services such as bedpan, urinal, bath, backrub, shampoo, and shave assistance.
- Ambulate, turn, and position patients as needed.
- Assist with meal service and feeding patients as necessary.
- Maintain patient stability by monitoring vital signs, testing urine, and recording intake and output information.
Qualifications
- Must be licensed in VA as a Medication Aide.
- Must maintain current and unencumbered licensure.
