About the Role

Medication Nursing Assistant (MNA) provides compassionate, detail‑oriented medical support to residential school students at Crotched Mountain School (CMS), a Seven Hills Foundation campus in Greenfield, NH. The school serves children and young adults ages 5–21 with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities, and other complex developmental disabilities. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), the MNA administers medications and treatments to stable residential students and completes required documentation in accordance with nursing standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer scheduled and PRN medications as delegated by an RN or LPN.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration at all times.
• Document all medication administration or refusals in the MAR per policy.
• Count, administer, and document controlled substances.
• Monitor students’ medical needs in accordance with MARs, TARs, IEPs, and residential care plans.
• Obtain and record vital signs, heights, and weights as requested.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant medication room and cart.
• Monitor medication inventory and coordinate reorders with pharmacy and central supply.
• Report medication errors, adverse reactions, or concerns promptly to nursing staff.
• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding medication supplies.
• Follow all infection control and safety protocols.
• Complete required continuing education and professional development.
