Nursing Manager (RN) - Cardiac

About the Role

Provides leadership and support to the senior executive (CNO) overseeing nursing and patient care services. Assists in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice at the unit level, with 24/7 responsibility for designated areas. Ensures delivery of high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care while managing clinical staff competency and resource allocation.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of nursing units, optimizing resource use to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
• Communicate effectively with leadership to maintain care standards and support staff development.
• Delegate tasks per legal and professional guidelines, providing mentorship and leadership support.
• Provide direct patient care as needed and support staff in clinical duties.
• Maintain operational performance and ensure staff meet competencies and standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with RN licensure.
• Minimum of one year of progressive management experience in a hospital setting or as a charge nurse.
• Certifications: BLS (required upon hire); ACLS, PALS, NRP, CPI (within 3 months of hire) depending on department.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing.
