Nursing Manager Endoscopy
About the role
The Manager ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department. The Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.
Responsibilities
- Maintain compliance with standards of care and regulatory standards.
- Operationalize evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Support efforts to reduce variation in clinical practice and improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost.
- Create a culture of accountability and transparency in the provision of care.
- Achieve and sustain an unparalleled patient experience.
- Facilitate effective interdisciplinary care coordination within and across departments.
- Ensure staff have appropriate clinical competencies.
- Review various feedback mechanisms to identify opportunities to improve customer/patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other leaders to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Identify development opportunities or training needs of individual employees and teams.
Requirements
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse Bachelors Degree.
- 1+ year experience in healthcare.
- 1+ year in supervisory role.
- Specialty Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Qualifications
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
- FT/PT/PRN colleagues with a compact license from a state other than Texas must: apply for Texas RN license within 60 days from hire obtain current TX RN license within 6 months of application for TX RN license.
