Nursing Lab Technician

About the role

MSEO invites applications for a part-time Lab Technician to join our School of Nursing team. This is a part-time position (20 hours/week) that operates year-round.

Responsibilities

• Work with students in facilitated lab to ensure evidence-based best practice in performance skills.
• Help students to develop clinical reasoning in the performance of psychomotor skills.
• Conduct psychomotor skill performance testing (Head-to-toe assessment, vital signs).
• Absorb and assist faculty in NUR lab courses.
• Finalize simulation set-up and assist with debriefing.
• Operate and manage simulation equipment.
• Cookordination and assistance in delivery of summer programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Nursing required (BSN)
• Current and unencumbered Nursing License
• Current CPR – BLS Certification
• Knowledge and proficiency with basic psychomotor skills
• Experience in event planning
• Effective communication in a variety of forms (verbal, e-mail, text, phone, some social media)
• Effective at problem solving and conflict resolution
• Strong organization skills
• Ability to collaborate well with others
• Experience with simulation preferred
