About the Role
Jersey College is seeking a Registered Nurse Instructor for a Foundations Class with a clinical day shift on Tuesdays (7am-3:30pm), starting August 31, 2026. This role involves teaching and guiding nursing students in both classroom and clinical settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
- Create a clinical environment that fosters students' academic growth and guides their professional development.
- Prepare student progress reports and grade reports.
- Maintain accurate and timely attendance records.
- Evaluate student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
- Implement evaluation devices of student learning and clinical experience to measure progress and competency.
- Attend faculty meetings.
- Maintain professional qualifications as a Registered Nurse Instructor through participation in continuing education programs, in-service training, and academic courses.
- Perform other duties as required by the program director, program dean, or campus administration.

- Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse that will contribute to student learning.
Qualifications
- MSN Required.
- Valid State RN License Required.
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.
