Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall operations of the nursing home facility, ensuring efficient and effective daily management
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and licensing requirements
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures that support high-quality resident care
- Manage and supervise staff, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to resident care and facility operations
- Collaborate with medical professionals and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize resident care plans
- Address resident and family concerns promptly, professionally, and effectively
- Manage the facility’s budget, financial performance, and operational resources
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Current, active, and unencumbered Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
- Previous leadership experience in a nursing home or long-term care facility
- Experience overseeing or supporting a respiratory unit or high-acuity clinical population is highly desired
- Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and regulatory requirements
- Familiarity with social work principles and practices in a healthcare setting
- Understanding of home care services and their integration within skilled nursing operations
- Demonstrated financial acumen, including budgeting and operational oversight
