Nursing Home Administrator

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nursing Home Administrator to lead the daily operations of our long-term and skilled nursing facility at Haralson Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, located in the heart of historic Bremen, Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily operations of the long-term and skilled nursing facility
• Comply with Residents' Rights and facility policies and procedures
• Coordinate medical care for patients
• Strive to improve efficiency in the delivery of healthcare services to patients
• Assist in the recruitment and selection of competent department directors, supervisors, consultants, and other assisting personnel
• Create and coordinate work schedules for employees
• Review facility's policies and procedures periodically, at least annually, and make changes as necessary to assure continued compliance with current regulations
• Assure that residents' rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property, and civil rights, including the right to wage complaints, are well established and maintained at all times
• Manage the nursing home budget
• Make daily routine inspections of the facility to assure that established policies and procedures are being implemented and followed
• Maintain a good public relations program that serves the best interest of the facility and community alike

Requirements

• Current/active Georgia Nursing Home Administrator license
• A Bachelor's Degree in Public Health Administration or Business Administration or health-related degree is preferred
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisor role at a skilled nursing facility is required
• Must be knowledgeable of reimbursement regulations and nursing practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to nursing facility administration
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances permit such action
• Must be able to read and interpret financial records, reports, etc.
