About the Role

The Nursing Home Administrator is a senior leadership position responsible for the overall leadership, management, and operations of a state government-owned nursing home facility. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality care to residents, compliance with all regulatory requirements, efficient operational practices, and the financial health of the facility. It requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of healthcare regulations and operational processes in long-term care facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, oversee, and manage all daily operations of the nursing home facility, ensuring high standards of care, efficiency, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Lead the development and execution of the facility’s strategic goals and objectives, aligning with state mandates and the facility’s mission to provide excellent care.
  • Ensure the facility is in full compliance with the Arkansas Nursing Home Licensing Act, federal healthcare regulations, and standards set by the Arkansas Department of Health and other regulatory agencies.
  • Develop and manage the nursing home’s budget, ensuring financial stability and resource optimization.
  • Oversee recruitment, retention, and professional development of all nursing home staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Represent the nursing home at public meetings, conferences, and health-related forums to promote the facility and build community partnerships.

Requirements

  • Extensive understanding of state and federal regulations governing nursing homes, including the Arkansas Nursing Home Licensing Act and CMS guidelines.
  • Ability to identify potential risks, including health and safety concerns, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure resident and staff well-being.

Qualifications

  • An associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Must hold a valid, unrestricted Nursing Home Administrator license issued by the Arkansas State Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators.

Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the Qualifications Review Committee.

Pay

Salary Range: $114,390 - $169,298 | Anticipated Starting Salary: $114,390.02
