Responsibilities
- Teach at least 36 credits annually and design an effective learning environment addressing contemporary issues in nursing.
- Evaluate student learning using various assessment tools and actively participate in curriculum design and program evaluation.
- Mentor students, serve as an advisor, and develop student success plans.
- Oversee clinical adjuncts, facilitate clinical practice, and communicate with Course Lead Faculty about student progress.
- Grade clinical papers and provide timely feedback, maintain records, and complete clinical site evaluations.
- Connect students to college resources and coach on soft skills.
- Participate in faculty meetings, in-service offerings, and other nursing events.
Requirements
- Graduate degree in nursing or related field from an accredited program.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ work experience as a professional registered nurse.
- Current unencumbered state professional registered nurse license or enhanced compact nurse licensure.
- Certified Nurse Educator certification and national certification in area of nursing specialty preferred.
- Maintain professional competence through ongoing education and activities.
