Schedule

Full time, Day shift

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and documents student performance or conduct concerns, implements appropriate remediation plans, and follows institutional policies for disciplinary action or dismissal when warranted.
  • Evaluates learning resources such as reference material, audio/visual aids, computer-assisted learning programs, and library acquisitions.
  • Identifies and recommends community agency linkages for student learning experiences.
  • Participates with the team to plan theory and clinical content of courses.
  • Participates in institutional committees and initiatives and represents the university at professional, community, and recruitment events as needed.
  • Designs, develops, and delivers high-quality instruction and course materials including syllabi, assessments, and clinical assignments.
  • Assesses student performance through timely grading, feedback, office hours, clinical and formal evaluation.
  • Advises students on academic progression, course planning, and career pathways, while providing mentorship in research, clinical practice, or field-based learning as applicable.
  • Provides academic support to students through regular communication, individualized assistance, and targeted intervention strategies, including referrals to appropriate support services.
  • Participates in curriculum development and review, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards, and supports assessment planning.
  • Develops and evaluates clinical curriculum, assigns students to appropriate clinical sites, provides orientation, and supervises the application of theory to practice in the clinical setting.
  • Contributes to program accreditation efforts and institutional effectiveness activities.
  • Engages in teaching, service, and scholarly activities, including research, publications, presentations, or other professional contributions within the discipline.
  • Maintains active membership in professional organizations and engages in ongoing professional development.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in both a face-to-face and online teaching environment. [Required]
  • Knowledge of computer based academic delivery systems. [Required]
  • Ability to work with an ethnically diverse student body. [Required]
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. [Required]
  • Ability to effectively communicate with college administration, faculty, staff, and others internal and external to the organization. [Required]
  • Organizational and administrative skills. [Required]
  • Knowledge of computer programs related to educational duties, including but not limited to word processing, database management, complex data computation, analysis and graphics, presentation development, and distance learning technology. [Required]
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills. [Required]
  • Ability to work as a member of a team of highly motivated and experienced individuals. [Required]
  • Ability to maintain commitment to high professional standards with honesty and integrity. [Required]
  • 2+ years of effective college-level work in the area of academic or professional expertise. [Required]
  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Qualifications

  • Doctorate [Preferred]
  • Master's [Required]

Pay

$60,151.66 - $111,886.39

Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
