Sentara Home Care is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join their team as a Nurse Educator Home Health. Position Status: Full Time - Day Shift Position Location: Chesapeake, VA Salary Range: $69,908 - $116,480

Position Description

A Nurse Professional Development Generalist (Nurse Educator) supports the ongoing education and professional development of nursing staff. This role involves assessing educational needs, designing and implementing training programs, and ensuring nurses maintain competencies aligned with clinical standards and regulations. The role collaborates with other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes, promote evidence-based practice, and enhance care quality.

Education and Certification

• BSN (required)
• RN active in VA and NC (Required)
• BLS (Required)
• Advanced or specialized life support certifications required upon hire as defined by specific specialty.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing (required)
• Home Health or Hospice experience (required)
• Prior infusion experience (preferred)
