Nursing Educator - Adjunct

About the role

Jersey College is seeking Registered Nurse Instructors to join our dedicated team of educators. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to the success of their students.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute care settings.
• Create a supportive and educational environment for students.
• Prepare and submit student progress reports and grade reports.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date attendance records.
• Evaluate student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
• Implement evaluation devices to measure student learning and clinical experience.
• Attend faculty meetings and participate in professional development activities.
• Supervise students in the clinical setting and deliver effective lessons.
• Ensure all evaluations are conducted according to the program's philosophy and objectives.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree.
• Current valid State RN license.
• At least 3 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with students and colleagues.
• Motivated, self-directed, and a team player.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Organized and able to prioritize workflow.
• Experience supervising students in a clinical setting.
• Knowledgeable and experienced in the area of nursing specialty.

Skills

• Ability to deliver an effective lesson on the level of an RN or PN student.
• Knowledgeable and experienced in the area of nursing specialty.
• Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse that contributes to student learning.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 annually.

Schedule

Position: Mondays - 10am-12pm (Theory) and/or Wednesdays 10am-1pm (Theory)
