About the role
We are looking for Registered Nurses who have a desire and passion for teaching and will take both pride and ownership in the success of their students. This is a PRN (as needed) position for Semester 1, starting 8/31/26.
Schedule: Tuesday or Thursday, 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM, plus POD meetings.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
- Create a clinical environment that fosters students' academic growth and guides their professional development.
- Prepare student progress reports and grade reports.
- Maintain accurate and timely attendance records.
- Evaluate student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
- Implement evaluation devices of student learning and clinical experience to measure progress and competency.
- Attend faculty meetings.
- Maintain professional qualifications as a Registered Nurse Instructor through participation in continuing education programs, in-service training, and academic courses.
- Perform other duties as required by the program director, program dean, or campus administration.
Requirements
- MSN (required).
- Valid State RN License (required).
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.
