About the Role

This position provides leadership and support to the senior executive (CNO) responsible for all nursing and other designated patient care functions/services within the hospital organization. The role assists in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice on a multi-unit level and assumes 24/7 responsibility for assigned areas. The role supports the CNO to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.

This role is eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus.

Candidates must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment health screening, including a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice on a multi-unit level.
• Assume 24/7 responsibility for assigned areas.
• Support the CNO to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care.
• Ensure competency of clinical staff and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
• Serve as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing.

Requirements

• Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence/practice.
• Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven leadership ability and hospital operational ability.

Qualifications

Education:

• Required: MSN, or Associate degree from an accredited nursing school with a bachelor's degree in a health care-related field, or a BSN.

Experience:

• Required: 5 years of Psychiatric nursing leadership experience.

Certifications:

• Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice, or policy.
• CPR certification.

Pay

$61.58 - $95.44 hourly. Individual wages are determined based on qualifications and experience.
