About the role
This role provides leadership and support to the senior executive position (CNO) responsible for all nursing and other designated patient care functions/services within the hospital organization. You will assist in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice on a multi-unit level, assuming 24/7 responsibility for assigned areas. The role is accountable for ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and support to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for all nursing and designated patient care functions.
- Assist in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice across multiple units.
- Ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and effective resource management.
- Serve as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing.
- Demonstrate highly effective interpersonal and communication skills, proven leadership ability, and hospital operational expertise.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence/practice.
- Associate degree from an accredited nursing school with a bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field or a BSN.
- 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position.
- CPR certification.

Pay
$61.58 - $95.44 per hour. Individual wages are determined based on qualifications and experience.
