About the role

This role provides leadership and support to the senior executive position (CNO) responsible for all nursing and other designated patient care functions/services within the hospital organization. You will assist in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice on a multi-unit level, assuming 24/7 responsibility for assigned areas. The role is accountable for ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for all nursing and designated patient care functions.
• Assist in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice across multiple units.
• Ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and effective resource management.
• Serve as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing.
• Demonstrate highly effective interpersonal and communication skills, proven leadership ability, and hospital operational expertise.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence/practice.
• Associate degree from an accredited nursing school with a bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field or a BSN.
• 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position.
• CPR certification.

• Preferred Education: MSN or master’s in a healthcare-related field.

Pay

$61.58 - $95.44 per hour. Individual wages are determined based on qualifications and experience.
