Nursing Coordinator - Cath Lab
Job Summary
Carefully coordinates the clinical aspects of the Cardiovascular program, guides nursing teams providing immediate care to Cardiovascular patients, coordinates referrals from physicians and health care facilities, acts as a liaison to the community for Cardiovascular care, develops educational programs for nurses, clinical staff, physicians, and EMS, facilitates physician collaboration and utilizes an interdisciplinary approach to Cardiovascular care, assures patients receive care that consistently follows evidence-based standards and is in accordance with defined regulatory standards, participates in the collection and monitoring of data for quality improvement of patient care, completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from accredited college or university
- Prioritizes clinical experience in specialty area: 3 years
- Prioritizes additional qualifications: Master’s of Science in Nursing from accredited college or university, prior patient teaching experience
- Required Certifications/Licenses: Current Texas State license for Registered Nurse
- Preferred Certifications/Licenses: Specialty Certification
- Required Courses/Completions: Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
