About the role
Together, we inspire amazing care as a Nursing Attendant in the Pediatric Progressive Care Unit. You’ll serve as a critical point of contact for patients and their families, partnering with Nurses, ICU Technicians, and other team members. Your role includes monitoring vital signs, ensuring meal delivery, and providing safe patient transport. Bring energy and hospitality to each patient’s day while maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Assist with patient comfort, mobility, and daily activities.
- Support the delivery of meals and safe transport of patients.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association is required.
- Must meet one of the following:
- Previous Nurse’s Aide experience in a hospital setting.
- Certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aid training program.
- Current enrollment in a BSN program—at the junior year level and/or completion of at least one clinical practicum.
Schedule
Part-time night shift: 11:00 PM – 7:15 AM, 5 shifts in a two-week period, including every other weekend. Located at NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital.
Pay
Salary range: $24.60–$26.46/hour.
