Nursing Attendant - Part Time + Weekends & Holidays - NYP/Queens

About the role

Nursing Attendant – Part Time at NewYork‑Presbyterian Queens Hospital. Provide bedside care, monitor vitals, assist with meals and transport, support nurses and ICU technicians, and contribute to patient experience and safety.

Responsibilities

• Monitor blood pressure and temperature of patients
• Ensure delivery of meals and safe transport
• Bring energy, hospitality, and a smile to work
• Provide comfort and caring as a certified nurse’s aide
• Perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse
• Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean, healthy environment
• Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration, and blood pressure
• Demonstrate teamwork and raise the bar for patient care

Requirements

• Previous nurse’s aide experience or equivalent in a hospital setting
• Certification from an approved accredited nurse aide training program
• Currently enrolled in a BSN program for nursing at the junior year level, or have completed at least one clinical practicum
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to complete a mandatory 2‑week orientation (Monday‑Friday, 8 AM‑4 PM) upon hire

Pay

Salary Range $24.94‑$26.83/Hourly

Schedule

Part Time (2‑3 shifts weekly). Various shifts available (day, evening, night). Position located at NYP/Queens Hospital in Flushing, New York. Shift includes night work. Every weekend may be required for the first 2 years of employment.
