About the role
Monitor blood pressure, respiration, pulses, and temperature of patients, while ensuring the delivery of meals and safe transport. Provide comfort and caring as a certified nurse’s aide at NYP—keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly.
ETAP is a 30-bed unit that serves admitted patients from the ED waiting bed assignment. Here, ETAP nurses independently assess conditions and rapidly coordinate multidisciplinary care. ETAP serves not only as an emergency observation unit but ensures that patients admitted from the Emergency Department (ED) receive exceptional evaluation and diagnostic services before they reach their assigned rooms. Our ETAP nursing team makes that continuity of care possible.
This is a full-time night shift (11 PM – 7 AM; 36.25 hrs/wk) position at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Queens located at 56-45 Main Street, Flushing, NY 11355. Every weekend is required for the first 2 years of experience.
Requirements
- Previous Nurse’s aide experience or equivalent in a hospital setting; or certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aid training program, or currently enrolled in a BSN program for nursing at the junior year level or had completed at least one clinical practicum
- High School Diploma or GED
- BLS from American Heart Association

Pay
Salary Range: $24.94–$26.83/hourly
