Nursing Associate - Medical Ward
About the role
The Wellington Hospital, the largest private hospital in the UK, is seeking a Nursing Associate to join our acute nursing team on the newly opened fourteen-bed Acute Medical Ward. As a Nursing Associate, you will work within a close-knit multidisciplinary team, caring for patients with a range of acute medical conditions. Your role is central to delivering safe, compassionate care, supporting patients through assessment, monitoring, and recovery while developing your clinical confidence in an acute setting.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of safe, compassionate, and individualised care to patients on the Acute Medical Ward.
- Monitor patients’ condition, recognising and responding appropriately to changes within your scope of practice.
- Work closely with Registered Nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team to support clinical care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and colleagues, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold professional standards and policies.
Requirements
- NMC registration as a Nursing Associate.
- Significant UK post-registration experience within a medical ward setting.
- Strong communication skills and a calm, professional approach to patient care.
- A clear understanding of your scope of practice and when to seek advice or escalate concerns.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team under appropriate supervision.

Schedule
Full time, 37.5 hours per week on a permanent contract with rotational shifts including days, nights, and weekends.
