Nursing Assistant - U2W Acute Care Medical/Surgical

The Nursing Assistant serves as a member of our interdisciplinary patient care team, focusing on supporting patients with activities of daily living and performing patient care skills as delegated by the licensed nurse within the Ohio Board of Nursing Scope of Practice. The Nursing Assistant is responsible for maintaining and demonstrating knowledge, skill, and ability of the delegated tasks, supporting department operational needs, and performing other duties as assigned. This is a full-time, night-shift position located in Miamisburg.

The Nursing Assistant reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Responsibilities

• Support patients with activities of daily living
• Perform patient care skills as delegated by the licensed nurse within the Ohio Board of Nursing Scope of Practice
• Maintain and demonstrate knowledge, skill, and ability of delegated tasks
• Support department operational needs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Successful completion of KH Nursing Assistant orientation
• Certification in CPR/BLS
• One of the following:
  • Six months experience as a nursing assistant in a hospital or a long-term care facility
  • Completion of Nursing Assistant course in the last six months
  • Nursing student or listed as pre-nursing as shown on transcripts
  • Current employee with Kettering Health
