Responsibilities
- Performs direct patient care within his/her scope of practice, as a member of the health care team
- Works under the direction of a registered nurse
- Frequent moving, lifting, and positioning of patients as well as pushing and pulling of wheelchairs and stretchers along with additional equipment
- Assigned patients may be from adult through geriatrics
- Involves clerical duties in relation to the admission, transfer, and daily care of patients on the assigned unit
- May involve frequent interactions with physicians
Requirements
- Listed with DHSR Nurse Aide Registry as Nursing Assistant I
- Current CPR certification (or attained within 3 months of employment)
Preferred Qualifications
- Listed with the North Carolina Board of Nursing as Nursing Assistant II
- Previous experience in Skilled Nursing/Rehab or Medical Surgical
