Nursing Assistant PT day- PCU
About the Role
Under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide basic nursing care for an assigned group of patients across various units, ensuring compassionate and clinically competent support. This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.
- General Nursing Units: Care for patients from age 15 years to maturity.
- Special Care Areas: Care for patients from age 15 years through adult with high-risk conditions.
- Maternal Child Units:
- Labor and Delivery: Care for patients with pregnancy-related conditions.
- Nursery: Care for newborns until discharge.
- Pediatric: Care for patients from neonate through age 18.
- GI Lab Unit: Care for patients from toddlers (age 24 months) through adult.
- Chemical Dependent and Psychiatric Units: Provide holistic care to adult patients and families with emotional problems.
- Emergency Unit: Care for patients of all ages, including pediatric and high-risk adult care.
- Surgical Services: Care for patients from neonate to geriatric.
Completes established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Education: High School Graduate or equivalent.
Preferred Education: Satisfactory completion of a Nurse Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or Medical Assisting course.
Preferred Experience: 6 months in the healthcare industry and/or knowledge of basic medical terms and procedures.
Required Certifications/Licensure:
- Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification on hire (ARC or AHA); must obtain AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer to the position.
