Nursing Assistant - PT Day
This position is part-time and will work 12-hour, day shifts at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro, a facility awarded the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Gold Plus Achievement Award. The medical center is recognized for exceptional stroke care, and its Rehab Center is nationally ranked by UDSMR and accredited by CARF for outstanding rehabilitation programs.
About the role
The Nurse Assistant (NA) is a non-licensed health care employee who performs delegated routine and predictable patient care tasks/duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Responsibilities include EKGs, vital signs, basic patient care, and transportation. You will respond appropriately to patients and families with knowledge of age-specific needs based on the scope of service of the unit/department where assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of any accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program, or Nursing Assistant program, or demonstrated equivalency (such as experience as a corpsman, EMT, foreign-licensed RN or MD).
- Completion of 2nd semester of accredited Nursing Program, or HHA with 1-2 years experience.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) year Nurse Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant experience in a hospital or post-acute environment.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.06 per hour. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
