Nursing Assistant - Psych ED
About the role
This position is accountable to the bedside RN to facilitate a safe and secure environment for the patient, family, and providers in the department.
Responsibilities
- Complete duties delegated to them for the shift
- Maintain clear communication between the patient and the RN
- Maintain a safe, hazard-free, clean environment which facilitates patient-focused care
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Completion of Medical Terminology course or Successful completion of hospital Medical terminology test within 90 days of hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
- 6 months Working with individuals who have mental health and/or substance abuse disorders.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completed training as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- Completion of CNA program or six months of health care.

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
