Duties and Responsibilities
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you’ll provide hands-on support to residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. You will:
- Deliver compassionate, hands-on care, assisting with dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and mobility per each resident’s Plan of Care.
- Support daily well-being of residents by offering meals, hydration, companionship, and encouragement for social engagement.
- Monitor and report changes, including vital signs, skin conditions, and any behavioral or physical changes. Ensure timely communication with the nursing team.
- Create a welcoming place for residents by helping them feel comfortable, respected, and supported in their daily lives.
- Other duties as assigned, ensuring residents receive exceptional care and support.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Minnesota.
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or home health is a plus.
- Ability to provide care with empathy, patience, and integrity.
- Physical capability to perform all essential job functions.
- Ability to pass state mandated background check.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to ensure effective communication with residents, staff, and visitors.
