Nursing Assistant (Non-Certified) - ER

About the role

The Nurse Aid in the Emergency Department supports the care team by assisting with activities of daily living, providing basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and maintaining a safe environment under the direction of the Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living
• Provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients

Requirements

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred
• Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CPR certification
