Nursing Assistant - Neurosciences

About the role

Crouse Health's Neuroscience Unit, which primarily serves patients with stroke diagnoses as well as respiratory, cardiac, diabetic, and renal conditions, is hiring a Nursing Assistant. The Nursing Assistant performs daily care activities to help achieve the goals of the patient care plan as directed by the Registered Professional Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assists the patient with daily care activities including but not limited to bathing, dressing, feeding, ambulating, personal hygiene and taking of vital signs.
• Supports and actively contributes to the achievement of the patient's goals associated with the plan of care.
• Individualizes communication based on the needs of the patients and families.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have one year of patient care experience, or is currently attending an accredited Registered Nursing program and has successfully completed the fundamentals of nursing coursework.
• Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the time of hire or within two (2) weeks after hire date.

Pay

$20.15-$26.92/hour (based on experience). Crouse also offers competitive Shift Differentials on Evenings, Nights and Weekends.

Schedule

Full-Time, Day/Evenings, 3pm-11:30pm and 11am-11:30pm M-F rotating weekends & holidays.
