Nursing Assistant (NA) - Per Diem

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital committed to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. As a critical illness recovery hospital, we help patients during some of the most vulnerable, painful moments of their lives—and our Nursing Assistants (NA) play a central role in providing compassionate, excellent care every step of the way.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant, or experience in a related field (i.e., medical assistant)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Pay

$20.00 per hour with shift differentials for nights and weekends. Sign-on bonus of $750.

Schedule

PRN/Per Diem, 12-hour shifts.
