Nursing Assistant (NA) - Part Time - Surgical Care Unit - Night Shift

Penn Medicine Princeton Health (PMPH) is seeking a Part Time nursing assistant (NA) to work the day shift within the Surgical Care Unit. The SCU is a 36 bed medical-surgical unit with a specialized focus on patients receiving inpatient surgical interventions. It also includes a dedicated use area for total hip and knee replacement patients.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Assists nurses in the delivery of nursing care through participation in the nursing process.
- Performs and documents nursing care activities as assigned, consistent with established procedures.
- Makes observations of patient condition and reports and documents information as requested.
- Has good communication skills with patients/families and co-workers and is able to make suggestions regarding the patient's needs for nursing care.
What We Require for this Role
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Related Work Experience: No related experience required for this role.
- LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT: Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Nursing Assistant Course - Successful completion of hospital onsite course during first two weeks of orientation and prior to patient care assignment.
