About the role
Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. Nursing Assistants (NA) are integral in delivering compassionate, high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Perform services for patients including bathing, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care
- Transport patients to and from various treatment centers, assisting transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
- Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs
- Keep patients' rooms clean and orderly
- Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience (3+ years)
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire
- Preferred: Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant, or experience in a related field (medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation: $21 - $25.59 per hour (based on years of experience)
- Sign-On Bonus: $2,000
