Nursing Assistant - MedSurg - CDU - Full-Time Nights

Role Overview: The Nursing Assistant - MedSurg - CDU provides fundamental patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, focusing on enhancing patient experience and safety. Key Responsibilities Assist with daily living activities such as hygiene, nutrition, and comfort measures.Perform basic patient care functions including ambulation and vital signs.Support clinical tasks like phlebotomy, dressing changes, Foley catheter removal, and simple treatments, depending on advanced skills and unit needs.Maintain patient safety, confidentiality, and dignity following HIPAA and privacy standards.Participate in patient rounding, respond promptly to call lights, and address patient concerns.Support team initiatives, assist with transportation of supplies and medications, and contribute to quality improvement efforts.Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members using professional and safety communication techniques.Ensure a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining equipment. Qualifications And Skills Rising senior in good standing or high school diploma/GED preferred.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Tech preferred.Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Ability to follow detailed instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.Minimum age of 16 for employment.
