Nursing Assistant, Inpatient - Cardiology & Intermediate Care

About the role

We are seeking Nursing Assistants to join our dedicated team of caregivers at Sanford Health's 34-bed Cardiology/Intermediate Care Unit in Bismarck, ND. This position offers opportunities for growth and advancement in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with basic health care needs including bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating, while supporting emotional and spiritual needs
• Record vital statistics, blood glucose levels, and other basic health information
• Assist with patient transfers and ambulation
• Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare
• Prepare and clean patient treatment areas, living areas, and medical equipment
• Dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy

Qualifications

• A high school graduate or GED preferred, but not required
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred
• Obtains and maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
• If working in North Dakota (ND) and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, must be on the North Dakota Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry upon completion of training/competency validation or within a maximum of four months from the date of initial employment
• If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aid Registry with current work eligibility
